“Z Nation” is a TV show that first aired in 2014 on the Syfy channel. With “The Walking Dead” being such a runaway hit during that time on AMC, Syfy decided they needed a zombie show too. You can never get enough of zombies 🙂
So in this video guitar lesson I’m going to show you the super simple guitar riff for the main 17 second theme. I will also show you an arrangement of the theme that uses barre chords. Something to give you a little more challenge.

(Barre Chord Version)
Since the actual guitar riff for Z Nation is really easy. You might as well give yourself a little challenge and play the barre chord version below. So each note of the riff is just going to get a corresponding barre chord played with it. Same rhythm.
Note the fingers that I have for the Bb and C chords. I’m using my 4th finger to barre across the 4th, 3rd and 2nd strings. Playing major barre chords with the root on the 5th string low on the neck for me is much easier with the 4th finger. You could also use your 3rd finger which is common.
