Reading Vertical Guitar Scale Charts
(Video Guitar Lesson 3 of 5)
Equally as common as seeing guitar scale charts written from a horizontal perspective, you will also see them written vertically. You are probably already familiar with guitar chord charts that are written this way.
So the vertical line furthest to the right is the 1st string, and the one furthest to the left is the 6th string.
You are going to want to get used to both vertical, and horizontal guitar scale charts. You may prefer reading one more than the other, but you will see them both equally in different books, guitar courses or online guitar lessons.
