Multistring Tapping

This one involves tapping on all six strings.

This riff is done in a basic 'rock scale' position and played as fast as possible. A cool trick with riffs like this is to do them slowly at first to a 4/4 beat, then slowly speed up over time until you can eventually do it twice as fast, but at the same bpm... then double up again and see if you can play four times as fast...etc etc...

It's a whole lot easier to play than it sounds and it's a quick way to get yourself warmed up... ie. start lower down on the fret board and move up one fret at a time & see how far you can get before you scream in pain...

Note: Using only the first finger of your right hand, as shown below, is totally optional. If you prefer to use your middle finger or use multiple fingers of the right hand, feel free to do so. (Actually if you decide to study my All About Tapping tutorial at Guitar Tricks, learning it using multiple fingers will be a definite advantage once you get to the harder 'Eight-Finger' tapping lessons)
