That Funky Rhythm: Strum #2

This is another very common funk strum. With this and the previous pattern you could fake your way through a lot of funk tunes. Here you will see a situation were you will miss the strings instead of playing on all of the 16th notes. Your hand will move down and up at a constant rate, you are just going to miss the strings once after the initial strum (down, miss, down, up...). If you don't miss, then you hand will be out of whack with groove (and that is a bad thing). After you have gotten the feel of the strum, practice it with the metronome at different tempos.
