Major scale forms

This next scale form I have called the "Lydian Form".
This is not a universal name, but it is useful in helping you
differentiate between the 7 different scale forms presented in
this lesson. Lydian is the name of the mode that is built from
the 4th degree of a major scale. The first note in the scale form
below is the 4th degree of the major scale. (See
modes 101) If you play this scale form starting on the fret
indicated, these are the notes of a G major scale.
