Randy Rhoads only recorded 2 albums with Ozzy Osbourne before his untimely death. But he had a tremendous impact on guitarists of the 1980's and beyond. This is one of Randy's lead fills in the song "Crazy Train". It is in the key of F# minor and uses a combination of the F# minor scale, and the F# blues scale.

The red number is the note that you should use as your guide when playing the lick in other keys. In this case the note is an F#. If you wanted to play this lick in A minor, you would just move everything up 3 frets so that the number in red would be at the 5th fret on the first string (A).

For more information on how to read this, check out the lesson on reading Internet tablature.

This lick uses an F# minor scale and the F# Blues scale.
