These chords don't contain any open strings, therefore they can be played on any fret. The root of the chord (the letter name ex. A, C, D etc.) is the square. In order to know what the name of the chord is, you will need to know the names of the notes on the neck.

Assumed root on the 6th string. Don't play the red square, just use it as a reference for the root of the chord.
