Featured Guitar Chord

The "sus"stands for sustained or suspended. In
the old days (not the 1950's but the 1550's) there was
no such thing as a Dsus2 chord. Though the same sound
was created by carrying over a note form the previous
chord into the new chord. In the following example the
E note from the A chord is sustained into the next chord
D. The E note then resolves up to the F# in the D chord.
Now days the Dsus2 is used without preparation (the A
chord) and without resolution (E resolving up to the F#).
