I, IV, V chord combinations

I, IV, and V are the basic chords for many of songs, in many styles, and ska is no exception. Here are some combinations of the I, IV and V chords in the key of C. The idea here is that you are going use smooth voice leading. In a nut shell that means to move to the next closest chord on the neck, rather that making a big leap from one chord to another. These are really meant to give you some ideas about how the chords you have just learned may be used in Ska. Once you have done these chords on the top three strings, try the voicings that use the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd strings. Then try minor chords, or just make up your own combinations.
