If you are searching for a guitar chord, then this chord generator can help. Just select a guitar chord name from the list on the left, and on the right will pop up the chord chart. This guitar chord finder has 2 other bits of information that you need to know about. The "Base Fret" and the "Notation" boxes. Below is an explanation.

Base Fret = the lowest fret shown in the chord chart

Notation = the frets in relationship to that base fret.

For example:

The lowest fret in the chord chart is the 6th fret. That means that in the notation box where you see 1 is really the 6th fret. The 3 is the 8th fret.
